Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Matt Ward (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donald Pleasance (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Matt Ward! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Donald Pleasance! The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Glass and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pleasance shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ward is trying to defend but Pleasance finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Ward has hold of Pleasance's hands but Pleasance slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Ward wants to control but Pleasance is keeping busy.
Pleasance throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Ward blocking the ground and pound attempt from Pleasance. Ward wants to control but Pleasance is keeping busy and won't allow it. Ward makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Ward. Pleasance must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Ward looking to control.
Ward escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pleasance gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Pleasance is working Ward over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Ward wants to stand up but Pleasance is controlling him. Pleasance really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ward. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pleasance got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ward has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pleasance has managed to get both his arms back between Ward's legs - danger averted.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pleasance trying to control the position from guard on top but Ward is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Ward is trying to keep Pleasance in close.
Ward has momentary wrist control but Pleasance slips an elbow through the middle. Pleasance avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pleasance is looking to work some ground and pound but Ward has wrist control. Ward is wriggling around but Pleasance manages to pass to half guard.
Ward pushes Pleasance off and gets back to his feet. Ward is breathing heavily. Ward misses with a takedown and Pleasance counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ward misses with a takedown and Pleasance counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pleasance winds up and cracks Ward with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Pleasance looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Ward with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Ward tries to get to full guard but Pleasance has control of the leg. Ward wants to control but Pleasance is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pleasance is taking a breather. Ward says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Ward looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Pleasance trying to control the action but Ward is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pleasance working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Pleasance controlling the action here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pleasance seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Ward does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Pleasance seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Ward has guillotine here! It looks pretty tight! Could this be all over! No, Pleasance escapes and passes into side control at the same time. Nice work there by Pleasance! Pleasance scoring with punches from side control. Ward is trying to control Pleasance's posture but Pleasance avoids it. Pleasance grinds an elbow into Ward's temple.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Pleasance working away. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pleasance wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ward keeps working. Pleasance in side control lands a decent elbow. Pleasance is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Ward is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ward can't do much from the bottom here. Ward is positioning himself to get back to half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Pleasance wants to control but Ward is keeping him busy. Pleasance working the ground and pound from side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Donald Pleasance dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Ward shoots in for a takedown but Pleasance shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Matt Ward is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ward really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Pleasance wants to control from the top but Ward keeps moving. Ward is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. This has been an exciting period of action! The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Ward bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pleasance's guard. Pleasance wants to sweep here but Ward controlling him for the moment. Ward trying to control the position from guard on top but Pleasance is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pleasance looking for a sweep. Not yet Pleasance, not yet. Ward trying to control but Pleasance is working from the bottom. Pleasance looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Matt Ward has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Pleasance lands with a kick to the ribs.
Ward shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Pleasance decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ward's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Matt Ward. That's going to take a lot out of him. Pleasance trying to control the position from guard on top but Ward is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Donald Pleasance showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

Pleasance throws a hook to the side of Ward's head but Ward sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Ward closes the distance looking to clinch and Pleasance counters with a three punch combo that has Ward backing up. Ward nods at Pleasance to acknowledge the strikes. Pleasance throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Ward tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Pleasance is in Ward's guard. Pleasance missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Ward managing to control the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Ward is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Pleasance is controlling him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pleasance stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ward swivels though and keeps the full guard. Ward pulls Pleasance in close to prevent any damage. Pleasance slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We're going to have a standup here because Matt Ward wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Ward tries for a takedown but Pleasance circles away easily and Pleasance counters with a shoot takedown. Ward fights it but they end up in guard. Pleasance postures up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Matt Ward. Ward looks for a takedown but Pleasance sprawls well. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pleasance sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Ward's guard. Ward misses with some strikes from the bottom.
And that's the end of the fight! Donald Pleasance comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Pleasance has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
