Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Souza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Houston (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Souza has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Houston with that takedown attempt.
Horrible takedown by Houston or perhaps it was just good defense by Souza which made him look bad.

Jason Souza has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jack Houston.
Houston throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Houston darts in and clinches Souza up against the cage.
Houston pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Souza throws a head kick but Houston moves out of range.
Houston moves into the clinch successfully.
Houston is pressed up against the cage. Souza has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Houston down to the mat. Houston avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

and Souza counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Souza shoots in looking for a takedown but Houston manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Souza's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Souza is breathing heavily.
Souza closes the distance and clinches up with Houston, looking for a takedown. Souza pushes Houston against the cage but Houston circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Houston rushes Souza and presses him up against the cage.
Souza wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Houston is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Houston moves in looking to clinch but Souza pushes him off.
Houston's corner calls for a 1-2. Houston obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Souza stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Houston swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Houston escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Souza gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Souza is desperately trying to improve his position but Houston has a good base and remains in mount.
Houston lands a big shot there that rocks Souza but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Souza tries to kick Houston off but Houston keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

Still in half guard, Houston seems content to control.
Souza wants to improve his position but Houston is controlling well.
Houston throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Houston tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Souza was well out of range. Poor timing from Houston.
Souza tries to score a power double leg takedown but Houston sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Souza somewhat.

and Houston counters with a single leg into guard. Souza didn't expect that.

Houston is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Souza is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Souza has escaped and now he's on top!
Souza trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Houston manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Houston stands up and waves to Souza to follow him.

Nice sprawl there from Souza as Houston shoots in.
Houston feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Souza is working an open guard so Houston takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Souza shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Houston sprawls well. Houston wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Souza gets slowly back to his feet.

Souza is looking to control Houston's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Souza avoid being mounted?

A looping hook to the body misses from Houston. Souza does a little dance to reset his feet.
Houston misses with a takedown attempt - Souza sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Houston has taken the fight to the clinch.
Souza jumps guard but Houston stands there with Souza around his waist. Souza gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Houston manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Souza on his heels. He'll look to pass Souza's guard now, I'm sure.

Houston lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Houston looking for a guillotine from mount but Souza is having none of it.

Jack Houston comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Houston has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
