Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Lancing!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rasputin stuffs the takedown.

Rasputin bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lancing might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Rasputin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lancing keeps working.

Rasputin is trying to get an arm triangle but Lancing is defending well.

Rasputin is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lancing knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Rasputin looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Rasputin stands up and beckons Lancing to join him on the feet.
Rasputin fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lancing has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Lancing is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Rasputin shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Rasputin was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rasputin is standing up, even though he is in mount.

Rasputin lands a left and a right that send Lancing crashing to the mat, dazed. Rasputin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!


Lancing is rocked!


It looks like Aaron Lancing has been cut.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Rasputin connects with a jab, followed by a picture perfect straight right that sends Lancing to the canvas, out cold! What a finish by Rasputin!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Grigori Yefimovich Rasputin!
