Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mike Eash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raymond Lam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mike Eash! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raymond Lam! The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Leandro Rodrigues and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lam tries for a takedown but Eash sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Lam shoots in but no luck this time. Lam fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Mike Eash has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raymond Lam. Lam gets tackled into the cage by Eash. Eash maintains the clinch. Lam tries to pull guard but Eash won't allow it.
Lam is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Eash has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Lam regains guard immediately. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Lam not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Eash slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Eash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lam swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eash landing with the ground and pound. Eash decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow. Eash shoots in and gets a takedown into Lam's guard. Lam can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Eash controls the pace. Eash really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Eash stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lam swivels though and keeps the full guard. Eash is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Mike Eash wasn't doing enough on the ground. Lam tries a head kick but it misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Lam enables Eash to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Lam manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Eash decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eash closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Eash breaks from the clinch.

Lam shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Eash sprawls well. Eash wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lam gets slowly back to his feet. Eash throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lam tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Eash is in Lam's guard. Lam looks gassed! Eash is stalling in the full guard. Lam is working an open guard so Eash takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Eash shoots in looking for a takedown but Lam manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Eash's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Mike Eash is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Lam tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Eash swivels and escapes. Eash does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy. Eash wants to clinch. Eash feints and as Lam raises his hands in defense, Eash changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Eash working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Lam controls Eash momentarily but Eash frees himself. Lam pushes Eash off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there. Lam wants to clinch but Eash slips to the side and Eash counters with a one-two to the body. Lam is looking to clinch but Eash is avoiding it.
Eash gets the takedown into side control. Lam is breathing heavily. Eash misses with the ground and pound. Eash wants to control but Lam is keeping him busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Eash working away. Eash wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lam keeps working. Mike Eash overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Eash stands up and we're back to a striking position. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Eash shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Lam sprawls well. Lam wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Eash gets slowly back to his feet. Lam tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Eash paws at him with a jab and circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Eash manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Lam on his heels. He'll look to pass Lam's guard now, I'm sure. Eash won't allow Lam to get back to his feet. Eash trying to control the position from guard on top but Lam is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Lam is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Eash postures up.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Eash throws a series of punches but Lam avoids them all with ease. Eash closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Lam did well to prevent Eash getting side control. Lam trying to control but Eash postures up.
Eash is trying to control. Lam wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Eash wants to pass the guard but Lam is defending well. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Eash stands and throws Lam's legs to the side, diving into side control. Lam wants to control but Eash postures up. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Eash in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Mike Eash is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Eash stands up and we're back to a striking position.
And that's the end of the fight! Mike Eash showed his dominance in that final round. Well Eash has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
