The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Machida lands an overhand right.
Flauta steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Machida.
Flauta ducks under a wild hook from Machida.
A slow jab from Machida misses its intended target.
Machida thows a left - swing and a miss!
Machida misses with a looping right.
Machida misses with a hook.
Machida throws out a loose jab but Flauta uses good head movement to avoid it.
Machida pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Machida throws a jab but it's blocked by Flauta.
Flauta changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Machida looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Machida takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Flauta landing a few strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Machida is looking to regain half guard here but Flauta keeps moving and retains side control.
Flauta cracks Machida with a big right hand but Machida just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Machida is working to avoid the ground and pound but Flauta connects with a decent elbow.
Flauta grinds an elbow into Machida's temple.
A big shot lands for Flauta! That's hurt Machida! Will he recover? Flauta fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
