8 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Niko Bellic! The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bellic tries a head kick but it misses.
Gomez gets a double leg takedown into Bellic's guard. Gomez gets to his feet - Bellic follows without any prompting. Bellic wants to clinch. Bellic tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Gomez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Gomez bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Gomez goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Bellic has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gomez but great work by Bellic. Gomez wants to control but Bellic postures up. Bellic swings around for an armbar but Gomez sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bellic's guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
