Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 46 - 0, fighting out of London, John Ketchup! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Cahir Ceallach! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, William Gold and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ketchup is trying hard to land a takedown here. Ceallach sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Ceallach throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Ketchup fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Ceallach lands a right hook to the body.
John Ketchup seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ceallach throws a series of punches but Ketchup avoids them all with ease. Ceallach cracks a nice hook into Ketchup's ribs. Ceallach clinches up with Ketchup and pushes him back against the cage. Ceallach managing to block the knees to the body from Ketchup.
Ceallach gets through Ketchup's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. Good body shot from Ceallach.
Ceallach breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Ketchup pulls out of a head kick attempt.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Ketchup tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Ceallach avoids it. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ketchup is trying to maintain a safe position but Ceallach gets an underhook and turns Ketchup into the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ketchup gets control of Ceallach's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ketchup will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Ceallach wants to stand and escape but instead Ketchup has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ceallach tries to strike from the bottom.
Ceallach wants to get back to his feet but Ketchup is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Ceallach looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ketchup is one step ahead there. Ketchup advances position into side control! Ceallach is trying to stand and escape here. He's got onto all fours but that's just let Ketchup take his back! Uh oh - Ketchup has got a rear naked choke here! Ceallach is forced to tap! It's all over! One monent is all it takes in this sport!
