Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Marcin Piekarz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sam De Wolf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Wolf has chosen Johnny Cash - Hurt as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Marcin Piekarz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Sam De Wolf! The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Patrick Alders and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wolf scores with a takedown into Piekarz's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Wolf controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Piekarz is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Wolf not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Piekarz looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wolf is one step ahead there. Wolf wants to pass the guard but Piekarz is keeping the position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Sam De Wolf hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Wolf dives in and scores a takedown into Piekarz's guard. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Piekarz is on top in guard.
Piekarz stopping the sweep attempt from Wolf. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wolf can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Piekarz wants to pass the guard but Wolf is keeping the position. Wolf looking to hit a scissor sweep but Piekarz is one step ahead there. Piekarz postures up in Wolf's guard and throws a big left but Wolf blocks it. Wolf keeping full guard, as Piekarz tries to pass. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piekarz tries to stand but Wolf is controlling from the bottom. Wolf has control of Piekarz's left arm, preventing Piekarz from doing any damage. Piekarz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Piekarz forces his way into half guard. Piekarz looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Piekarz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Piekarz wants to free his trapped foot but Wolf is holding on for dear life with his legs. Piekarz is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Piekarz is trying to control the action in half guard but Wolf is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Piekarz is pressing down on Wolf's thigh, looking to free his foot. Wolf is holding on for now. Wolf is looking for a sweep. Piekarz is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Wolf is defending against the submission attempts here by Piekarz.
Piekarz seems to be working for a kimura but Wolf defends the submission attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Marcin Piekarz will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Wolf connects with a single shot there. Wolf tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Piekarz manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Piekarz gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Wolf to score an easy takedown into full guard. Wolf showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Wolf wants to stand but Piekarz has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Piekarz keeping moving, preventing Wolf from controlling successfully. Wolf really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Piekarz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Sam De Wolf was stalling too much, according to the referee. Piekarz tries to clinch but Wolf is having none of it. Sam De Wolf seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Piekarz shoots for a takedown but Wolf saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Wolf gets a double leg takedown into Piekarz's guard. Wolf wants to control from the top but Piekarz keeps moving. Wolf won't allow Piekarz to sweep him here. Wolf controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Wolf preventing the sweep.
That's two minutes gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Wolf trying to control the position from guard on top but Piekarz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Sam De Wolf was stalling too much, according to the referee. Piekarz shoots for a double leg takedown but Wolf sprawls well. He's pushed Piekarz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Piekarz dodges the punch combination from Wolf.
Wolf lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Piekarz circles away quickly and effectively. Wolf closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Piekarz did well to prevent Wolf getting side control. This has been an exciting period of action! Wolf is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Piekarz tries to get to full guard but Wolf has control of the leg. Piekarz moves into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wolf stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Piekarz swivels though and keeps the full guard. Piekarz looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Sam De Wolf has got the better of the ground game so far. Piekarz not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Piekarz is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Wolf stopping the sweep attempt from Piekarz.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wolf looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Wolf trying to control but Piekarz is working from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Wolf looking to control the position here, rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sam De Wolf showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Piekarz tries for a takedown but Wolf circles away easily and Wolf counters with a series of strikes. Piekarz will be more careful next time no doubt. Wolf is looking to clinch but Piekarz is avoiding it.
Wolf shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Wolf was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Piekarz is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Piekarz is trying to escape the mount.
Wolf looking to control and managing it successfully. Wolf gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! Piekarz checks the leg kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wolf lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Piekarz at a distance.
Piekarz moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Wolf misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Piekarz throws a head kick that misses. Wolf fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Piekarz manages to avoid it. Wolf shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Wolf sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Piekarz is desperately trying to improve his position but Wolf has a good base and remains in mount. Wolf can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Piekarz is looking to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Piekarz is looking to get to half guard. Piekarz gets back to half guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Wolf content to control rather than advance. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Piekarz won't allow Wolf to pass to mount. Piekarz regains full guard. Nicely done. Wolf slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Sam De Wolf has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Wolf closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Wolf just content to control the position. Wolf wants to stand but Piekarz has him controlled and pulls him back into his guard. Wolf must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Wolf takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Wolf slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Piekarz wants to hit a switch here but Wolf passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Piekarz there!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wolf wants to stand but Piekarz is holding on to him, trying to stop him posturing up.
Wolf controlling the position easily from mount. Piekarz wants to control but Wolf is having none of it. Piekarz is looking to get to half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that's the end of the fight! Sam De Wolf comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Wolf has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
