Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lance HP (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Vince Page (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Page has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lance HP!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Vince Page!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
HP shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Page defends it nicely.
HP throws a combination. Page tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Page looks gassed!
HP shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Page eats them both and turns towards HP to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
This has been an exciting period of action!
HP misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
HP closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Page's guard.
Page is rocked!
HP wants to control from the top but Page keeps moving.
Page is still in real trouble! Can HP finish him?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Page has momentary wrist control but HP slips an elbow through the middle.
Page has a closed guard, preventing HP from standing up.
Page really doesn't want to stay on the ground with HP. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
HP distracts Page with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
HP would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
HP with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
HP trying to control the position from guard on top but Page is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
HP working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
HP could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's one minute gone in the round.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Page can do anything to dispel that myth.
HP working some strikes from top position.
HP has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Page is proving hard to escape from.

HP is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Lance HP.
Page loses concentration momentarily and HP pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Page crashes face first to the mat, out cold! HP finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Lance HP!
