The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Shigeki Fujiwara and Yukihiro Shimada.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ryan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Condit to the ground. Ryan is now in Condit's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Ryan stays in close to Condit's body and controls the position.
Ryan lands a couple of digs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ryan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Jon Ryan has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Ryan throws a sloppy head kick and Condit moves out of range easily.

Ryan closes the distance and pushes Condit back into the cage.

Ryan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Condit misses with a two punch combination.

Condit throws a nice head kick!
Condit tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Condit tries to keep at a distance but Ryan has taken the fight into the clinch.
Condit has a couple of punches blocked by Ryan.

Ryan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Ryan drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Ryan decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Jon Ryan seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ryan drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Condit is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Condit is breathing heavily.

Condit can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ryan controls the pace.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Condit throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Ryan rushes Condit and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Ryan stalling against the cage.
Condit swings wildly with an uppercut but Ryan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ryan's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Condit throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Condit gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Ryan passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Ryan in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Condit is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
