Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Circle Jerk! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jagger Raffinski! The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Chad Campbell and Jonathan Paton.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Jerk looks like he's thinking about clinching though. A cross from Jerk lands. Jerk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Raffinski with a lazy takedown attempt and Jerk counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Jerk tries to clinch there but Raffinski circles away.
Circle Jerk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Jerk's corner calls for a 1-2. Jerk obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
It looks like Jagger Raffinski has been cut. Jerk is looking to clinch but Raffinski is avoiding it.
The fight stays on the outside here - Jerk looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jerk fails in his attempt to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Raffinski shoots in but no luck this time. Jerk gets caught flat footed, as Raffinski shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Raffinski thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Raffinski prevents Jerk from getting back to his feet. Raffinski slips nicely into half guard. Raffinski is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Jerk to slip a leg under and get back to full guard. Raffinski trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Raffinski sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Jerk's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jerk is trying to stand back up but Raffinski is controlling him
Raffinski is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Jerk sees it coming and defends easily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Raffinski is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Jerk defends it well. Jerk is looking to escape. Raffinski seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Jerk is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
