Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kim JohnILL (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daron Laylay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Kim JohnILL! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Daron Laylay! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! JohnILL tries for a takedown but Laylay circles away easily and Laylay counters with a nice double leg into guard. Laylay postures up in JohnILL's guard and throws a big left but JohnILL blocks it. JohnILL will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Laylay engaging in some classic timewasting tactics. JohnILL keeping moving, preventing Laylay from controlling successfully. Laylay throws an elbow that misses. JohnILL uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Laylay's guard. Nice move by JohnILL! Laylay wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. JohnILL really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Daron Laylay hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. JohnILL with a lazy takedown attempt and Laylay counters with a takedown into side control. Laylay wants to lay and pray for a moment but JohnILL keeps working. Laylay throwing strikes but JohnILL manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control! Laylay gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. JohnILL is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
JohnILL seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Laylay does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Laylay really doesn't want to stay on the ground with JohnILL. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Laylay wants to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Laylay is trying to maintain the position but JohnILL is very close to passing his half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. JohnILL trying to control from half guard but Laylay is working away. JohnILL trying to mount his opponent but Laylay defends it. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! JohnILL thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Laylay has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. JohnILL is working away from the top position though. JohnILL is looking to take a break and control but Laylay is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. JohnILL is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.

Kim JohnILL has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. JohnILL fails with the takedown and Laylay decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in JohnILL's guard. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kim JohnILL. That's going to take a lot out of him. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Laylay scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Laylay gets to his feet. JohnILL looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! JohnILL is breathing heavily. JohnILL wants to clinch and Laylay counters with a shoot takedown. JohnILL fights it but they end up in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Laylay gets to his feet - JohnILL follows without any prompting. Laylay closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into JohnILL's guard. Laylay is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Laylay trying to control the position from guard on top but JohnILL is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Laylay is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Laylay stands and steps away. JohnILL gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Laylay fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. JohnILL sprawls well initially but Laylay persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Laylay looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. JohnILL is refusing to be controlled, as Laylay sits in half guard. Laylay scoring with strikes to the body and head. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! JohnILL avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Laylay. Ground and pound from Laylay. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daron Laylay dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Laylay takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Laylay feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. JohnILL utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. JohnILL wants to sweep here but Laylay controlling him for the moment. Laylay trying to control the position from guard on top but JohnILL is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Laylay decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on JohnILL, up you get! JohnILL misses the jab. JohnILL darts in trying to clinch and Laylay counters with a single leg into guard. JohnILL didn't expect that.
That's one minute gone in the round. Laylay with a nice head shot there. JohnILL looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Laylay looking to pass the guard. Laylay must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Laylay wants to stand but JohnILL has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Laylay wants to pass the guard but JohnILL is keeping the position. JohnILL is controlling Laylay's posture. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Laylay closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. JohnILL quickly recovers to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. JohnILL has hold of Laylay's hands but Laylay slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Laylay wants to stand up but JohnILL manages to regain full guard. Laylay trying to control but JohnILL is working from the bottom. Laylay distracts JohnILL with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Laylay trying to control but JohnILL is working from the bottom. JohnILL wants to sweep but no luck. Laylay drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and JohnILL dives on top into guard. Laylay trying to control the position here.

Kim JohnILL seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Laylay dives in and scores a takedown into JohnILL's guard. Laylay has gone for a leg lock! JohnILL slips out almost immediately though and dives into Laylay's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Laylay has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but JohnILL has passed into side control.
Laylay manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Laylay keeps control of the position for the meantime. Laylay moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Daron Laylay showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Laylay rushes JohnILL and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Laylay gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, JohnILL regains guard.

Laylay stands up and waves to JohnILL to follow him. Laylay decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Laylay looks to score some points with some ground and pound. JohnILL manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Laylay trying to control the position from guard on top but JohnILL is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Daron Laylay has got the better of the ground game so far. JohnILL looking for a sweep. Not yet JohnILL, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Laylay keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of JohnILL's head. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Laylay trying to control the position from guard on top but JohnILL is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. JohnILL wants to stand up but Laylay is controlling him. Laylay scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Laylay lands a couple of decent looking shots. Laylay with a nice head shot there. Laylay with a nice head shot there. Laylay passes easily into side control. Nice work. Laylay lands a nice forearm strike.
JohnILL is rocked! Laylay staying calm. Oh JohnILL is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Check out the look on Laylay's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Laylay thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. JohnILL is working to avoid the ground and pound but Laylay connects with a decent elbow. Laylay stands up. Laylay lands a huge takedown. JohnILL is out but the ref is slow to react and Laylay lands 3 more undefended punches before the fight is stopped. Brutal finish. JohnILL lies on the canvas for a good minute before the doctors bring him round. Good to see he's OK.
