Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Chael Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jerry Springer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jerry Springer enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Chael Sonnen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 7 - 0, fighting out of London, Jerry Springer! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sonnen closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Springer is looking to improve his position.
Sonnen with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Springer wants to get back to full guard but Sonnen has mounted him! Sonnen lands a heavy elbow. Sonnen controlling the pace for now. Sonnen's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Springer is trying to escape the mount.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Sonnen lands a nice shot to the head. Sonnen controlling the position easily from mount. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Springer can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Sonnen lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Sonnen prevents Springer from getting the reversal. Sonnen connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Sonnen controlling the position easily from mount. Sonnen pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Sonnen controlling from the full mount. Springer is desperately trying to improve his position but Sonnen has a good base and remains in mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Springer tries to hold on but Sonnen pushes him away. Sonnen postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Springer looks a forlorn figure.

Springer taking shots to the head. Sonnen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Sonnen controlling the position easily from mount. Springer tries to hold on but Sonnen postures up. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sonnen fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Springer to the ground. Sonnen is now in Springer's guard. Sonnen chips away with some ground and pound. Sonnen is stalling in the full guard. Sonnen might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Chael Sonnen. Excellent takedown into side control there by Sonnen. Springer is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Sonnen is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Springer is trying to work for a sweep but Sonnen has mounted him! Sonnen looking to control and managing it successfully. Sonnen has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Chael Sonnen has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Sonnen shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sonnen is taking a breather. Springer says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Chael Sonnen wasn't doing enough on the ground. A punch combination from Springer misses. Nice sprawl there from Springer as Sonnen shoots in. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Horrible takedown by Sonnen or perhaps it was just good defense by Springer which made him look bad. Sonnen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Springer looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Sonnen taking a breather here. Springer is trying to improve his position. Sonnen moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now. Springer is trying to escape and get back to his feet.

That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Sonnen won't allow Springer to sweep him here. Sonnen stands up from Springer's guard - Sonnen perhaps looking for a knockout. Springer takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. A momentary lapse in concentration from Springer enables Sonnen to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Springer manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Chael Sonnen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Sonnen looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Sonnen passes into half guard.

He's got hold of a leg but Springer swivels and escapes. Springer paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. Jerry Springer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Springer thuds his right hand into Sonnen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Sonnen takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Springer leaves Sonnen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Jerry Springer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Sonnen does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Sonnen scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sonnen seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Springer is trying to maintain the position but Sonnen is very close to passing his half guard. Springer wants to get back to his feet. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sonnen in particular looking to stall. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Chael Sonnen just wasn't active enough. Sonnen scores with a takedown into Springer's guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Chael Sonnen showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Sonnen, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
