Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tiger Mask (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Don Shaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mask comes to the cage accompanied by Coming to Light Your Ass Up. Shaw has chosen Body Head Bangerz - Can't Be Touched as his entrance music. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tiger Mask!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Don Shaw!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Mask closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Mask taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Shaw's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Shaw throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Shaw tries to work over Mask's front leg with a kick but Mask checks it.
Shaw throws a body punch but Mask moves out of range.
Mask throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Shaw avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Shaw swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Mask counters with a nice body kick.
A swing and a miss from Mask.
Shaw gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Shaw connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Shaw throws a front kick aimed at Mask's knee but Mask avoids it well.
Shaw goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Shaw takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Shaw attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Mask fails in his attempt to clinch.
Shaw takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Shaw scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Shaw connects with a single shot there.
Shaw connects with a solid leg kick.
Mask wants to clinch.
Shaw finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.
Mask closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Shaw on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Shaw throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Mask to counter with a crisp jab.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Shaw ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Mask moves away.
Shaw feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Masks jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Shaw lands a leg kick that knocks Mask off balance momentarily.
Mask misses with a kick to the body.
Mask keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Shaw.
Mask throws a right and a left that both miss.
Mask chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Mask throws a leg kick but Shaw sees it coming and moves out of range.
Mask takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Mask scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Shaw throws a body punch but Mask moves out of range.
Shaw takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mask has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Shaw.
A swing and a miss from Mask.

Mask looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Shaw is looking to improve his position.
Mask slows the pace down in half guard.
Mask's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Shaw tries to roll over but Mask keeps him under control.
Mask controlling the action here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Tiger Mask wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Mask throws a right hand that Shaw ducks under and follows up with a left that Shaw also avoids with ease.
Mask dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Shaw fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mask avoids the head kick by Shaw.
Mask throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Mask throws a leg kick that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tiger Mask dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Shaw scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Mask misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Shaw tries a head kick but it misses.

Shaw shoots in and gets a takedown into Mask's guard.
Mask is adopting a defensive guard.
Mask manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Mask trying to control but Shaw is having none of it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Shaw in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Mask pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Mask lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Mask takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
The referee warns Shaw that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Mask putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Mask sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Shaw is squirming around, avoiding Mask's attempts to control the action.
Shaw is looking to get to half guard.
BOOM! Mask connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Shaw tries to hold on but Mask pushes him away.
Mask with a couple of short strikes.

Shaw keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Mask working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Mask content just to control the position here.
Shaw is trying to escape the mount.

Shaw bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Shaw throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Mask might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Shaw is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.

Mask is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Shaw defends well.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Mask pushes a forearm under Shaw's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Shaw is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Tiger Mask!

Our winner, Tiger Mask, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
