Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
18 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Piotr Pejkaiya! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
20 - 11 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jenson Rawlins! The judges for this bout are Marco Blurström, Arvi Lind and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pejkaiya throws a low kick but it's checked well by Rawlins. Pejkaiya tries to close the distance and clinch up but Rawlins swats him away and circles back towards the center. A head kick misses from Rawlins. Pejkaiya has managed to clinch.
Pejkaiya pushes Rawlins back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Rawlins tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Pejkaiya pulls guard successfully.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Rawlins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pejkaiya swivels though and keeps the full guard. Pejkaiya working for a triangle but Rawlins defends it easily.
Rawlins trying to control the position from guard on top but Pejkaiya is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rawlins might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Pejkaiya kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. Rawlins trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Rawlins postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Pejkaiya is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rawlins wants to control from the top but Pejkaiya keeps moving. Rawlins throwing strikes from guard but Pejkaiya blocks nicely. Rawlins avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pejkaiya looking for a sweep. Not yet Pejkaiya, not yet. Rawlins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pejkaiya has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Rawlins has managed to get both his arms back between Pejkaiya's legs - danger averted. Rawlins is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Pejkaiya working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rawlins doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rawlins manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Rawlins is looking to work some ground and pound but Pejkaiya has wrist control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pejkaiya is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Rawlins is aware though and is defending well. Pejkaiya looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rawlins is one step ahead there. Rawlins sitting in guard, not really doing much. Rawlins won't allow Pejkaiya to sweep him here. Rawlins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rawlins forces his way into half guard. Pejkaiya tries to roll over but Rawlins keeps him under control. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Pejkaiya is not content to let Rawlins control the position. Rawlins seems to be working for a kimura but Pejkaiya defends the submission attempt. Pejkaiya looking for submissions off his back.

Rawlins is fighting to break Pejkaiya's control of his arms but Pejkaiya is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. Pejkaiya keeping moving, preventing Rawlins from controlling successfully. Pejkaiya manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rawlins working to try and regain half guard.

It looks like Jenson Rawlins has been cut. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Pejkaiya looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Pejkaiya landing strikes, looking to finish! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Piotr Pejkaiya dominated that round. The cut man is working on Jenson Rawlins's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Pejkaiya scores with a head kick. Rawlins tried to block it but didn't get his arm up in time. Rawlins dives in and grabs Pejkaiya's left leg, looking for a takedown. Pejkaiya pushes down on Rawlins's head and hops out. Rawlins blocks a low kick nicely. Pejkaiya throws out a leg kick but Rawlins moves out of range and Pejkaiya only half commits. Rawlins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Rawlins throws a head kick that misses. Pejkaiya lands a lovely overhand right. Rawlins throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Pejkaiya. Pejkaiya tries to clinch but Rawlins moves out of range. Rawlins shoots in looking for a takedown but Pejkaiya manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Rawlins's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Pejkaiya misses with a wild body shot. Rawlins avoids the head kick by Pejkaiya.
Rawlins pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pejkaiya back to the cage. Rawlins follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Rawlins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A solid leg kick lands there for Pejkaiya.

Pejkaiya knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rawlins in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Pejkaiya tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pejkaiya is working hard here to advance position. Pejkaiya manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Rawlins is trying to control. Pejkaiya wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Pejkaiya is pressing down on Rawlins's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Pejkaiya is looking for a triangle but Rawlins pushes his legs off easily.
Pejkaiya is controlling Rawlins's posture. Rawlins stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pejkaiya swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rawlins advances position into side control! Rawlins grinds an elbow into Pejkaiya's temple. Pejkaiya tries to improve position but can't. Pejkaiya manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Pejkaiya trying to mount his opponent but Rawlins defends it. Rawlins is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Pejkaiya's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Pejkaiya's back! Pejkaiya takes a big shot to the side of the head.
Pejkaiya tries to escape but Rawlins has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Pejkaiya tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Piotr Pejkaiya overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Pejkaiya is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's four minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Rawlins jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pejkaiya manages to avoid the submission attempt. Pejkaiya prevents Rawlins from moving into mount. Pejkaiya struggling a bit here. Pejkaiya tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pejkaiya looks to move to half guard but instead Rawlins has passed into mount! Damn! Pejkaiya tries to reverse the position but Rawlins maintains control. Rawlins jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Pejkaiya manages to avoid the submission attempt. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Rawlins looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Rawlins in side control lands a decent elbow. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Piotr Pejkaiya will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Jenson Rawlins's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Pejkaiya! Pejkaiya grinds an elbow into Rawlins's temple.

Rawlins tries to bench press Pejkaiya off him but Pejkaiya keeps the position. Pejkaiya landing strikes. Pejkaiya working the ground and pound. Pejkaiya is working to tighten is grip on Rawlins's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Rawlins has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Pejkaiya is really squeezing tight and eventually Rawlins passes out! Pejkaiya breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
