Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Douglas Quaid (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sebastian Gellquist (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Quaid comes to the cage accompanied by Total Recall. Gellquist comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Rihanna feat. Jay-Z & E.S. Posthumus – Run This Town kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Douglas Quaid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sebastian Gellquist!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Quaid connects with a crisp jab.
Quaid throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Quaid throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Gellquist looks to land a left hand but Quaid moved out of range nicely.
Quaid is looking to score with low kicks.
Gellquist shoots in for a takedown but Quaid shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gellquist defending well as Quaid loads up on a big left hand.
Quaid swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Gellquist steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Quaid.
Quaid just misses with a punch to the body.
Gellquist gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Quaid counters by clinching up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Quaid stops a takedown attempt from Gellquist.
Douglas Quaid has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sebastian Gellquist.
Quaid is trying to force a seperation but Gellquist has the dominant position.
Gellquist's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!

Quaid breaks from the clinch.
Gellquist wants to clinch.
Gellquist gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Quaid counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gellquist throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Quaid counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gellquist throws a hook but Quaid avoids it easily.

Quaid throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Gellquist tumbling to the canvas!


Gellquist is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Quaid slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Quaid working away.
Gellquist is letting Quaid control him for a moment.
Quaid tries to score with some ground and pound. Gellquist controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Sloppy strikes there by Quaid.
You can see the frustration on Gellquist's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Quaid is staying tight to Gellquist's torso, preventing him from escaping.
Quaid working the body and head with strikes.
Gellquist is trying to escape the position but Quaid is controlling the position.
Gellquist is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Quaid sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Gellquist is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Quaid thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
A lull in the action here.
Both fighters take a look at the clock.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Gellquist is trying to escape the position but Quaid is controlling the position.
Quaid trying to control the position but Gellquist is working away.
Quaid just content to control the position.
Gellquist really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Quaid. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

The ref stands the fighters back up because Douglas Quaid just wasn't active enough.
Gellquist displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Quaid throws out the jab.
Decent striking displayed by Quaid there.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gellquist looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Douglas Quaid dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Quaid drops a shoulder and throws a monster hook that connects perfectly to the side of Gellquist's head, knocking him out cold! Quaid is extatic as he celebrates with his cornermen.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Douglas Quaid!
Douglas Quaid really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that Untouchable Fight Nutrition logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
