Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Be Bob!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Mirco Britcop!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Marco Blurström.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Britcop avoids the head kick by Bob.
Britcop fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bob wants to clinch.
A head kick by Britcop misses
and Bob counters with a nice body shot.
Bob throws a head kick that misses

and Britcop counters with a single leg into guard. Bob didn't expect that.
Bob wants to sweep but no luck.
Britcop wants to stand but Bob is controlling his posture from full guard.
Bob is trying to control the position but Britcop postures up.
Bob is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Britcop is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Bob is pulling down on Britcop's head to control his posture.

Britcop stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Britcop takes a head kick and shrugs it off.


Britcop is rocked!

Bob shoots for a double leg takedown but Britcop sprawls well. He's pushed Bob's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Britcop would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Bob has his hands on Britcop's head, controlling the position.
Bob is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Bob works his way into side control.

Bob working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
Bob really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Bob stands up and beckons Britcop to his feet.

Britcop tries to clinch but Bob moves out of range.
Britcop closes the distance looking to clinch

and Bob counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Britcop's guard now.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Bob scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Britcop keeping full guard, as Bob tries to pass.
Bob connects with a couple of short punches.

Bob tries to free his leg and advance position but Britcop is retaining full guard.
Bob wants to control from the top but Britcop keeps moving.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Be Bob dominated that round.
That's time! Bob's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Britcop tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Bob counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Bob seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Britcop does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Be Bob just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.

Bob jumps guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bob is on top in guard.
Be Bob overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Bob prevents Britcop from getting back to his feet.

Britcop escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Bob gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Britcop being controlled here, momentarily.
Bob trying to control the position from guard on top but Britcop is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Britcop manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bob manages to get himself to full guard.
Britcop is breathing heavily.
Britcop has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Bob is proving hard to escape from.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bob looking to hit a scissor sweep but Britcop is one step ahead there.
Bob controls Britcop momentarily but Britcop frees himself.
Bob looking for a sweep. Not yet Bob, not yet.
Bob wants to stand and escape but Britcop is having none of it.

Bob utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Bob shoots for a double leg takedown but Britcop sprawls well. He's pushed Bob's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Bob closes this distance looking for a takedown but Britcop circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Be Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Britcop shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Bob tries to hold on but Britcop postures up.
Bob is looking to get to half guard.

Britcop throwing strikes here but Bob is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Bob tries to reverse the position but Britcop maintains control.
Britcop postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bob looks a forlorn figure.

Britcop is working for a guillotine from mount but Bob frees his head quite easily.
Bob controls the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Be Bob will probably get the nod.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Bob misses with a takedown attempt - Britcop sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bob throws a head kick that lands with a deafening thwack! The crowd roars as Britcop stumbles backwards and falls to the mat. Bob follows into mount!
Britcop is still in real trouble! Can Bob finish him?

Bob is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Bob throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Britcop seems to have recovered his senses.
Bob tries to close the distance and clinch up but Britcop swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Britcop fails with an attempt to clinch.
Bob misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Bob tries to clinch up but Britcop circles away and keeps his distance.
Bob throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Britcop fails with a takedown attempt.
Bob buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Britcop tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bob swivels and escapes.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Bob shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Britcop as he jumps to the side.

Bob throws a head kick but Britcop moves out of range.
Britcop throws a leg kick which misses Bob's front leg but catches the back leg as Bob tries to avoid it.
Bob fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Britcop.
Bob closes the distance and clinches up with Britcop, looking for a takedown. Bob pushes Britcop against the cage but Britcop circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Be Bob. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Britcop counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Bob tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Britcop wants to control from the top but Bob keeps moving.
Bob not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Britcop postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Bob is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Bob bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Britcop's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Britcop scrambles and gets back to his feet.

Britcop tries to keep at a distance but Bob has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bob escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Britcop closes the distance and clinches up with Bob, looking for a takedown. Britcop pushes Bob against the cage but Bob circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Bob circles away from the clinch attempt.
Britcop fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Britcop closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Britcop throws an elbow but it misses.
Britcop is trying to break the clinch but Bob has him pressed against the cage.
Britcop wants a takedown but no success here.
Bob wants to break free but Britcop has control.
Bob tries to pull guard but Britcop holds him up against the cage and eventually Bob drops back down to his feet.
Bob is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Britcop gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bob goes for a takedown in the clinch but Britcop prevents it.

Britcop is looking to control Bob's arms but Bob gets an underhook and turns him. Now Britcop has his back to the cage.
Britcop unloads a knee to the mid-section. Bob lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh.

Britcop gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground.
Bob will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Bob bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Britcop's guard.

Bob shoots in and bounces Britcop off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bob won't allow Britcop to get back to his feet.

Bob seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Mirco Britcop has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Be Bob.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bob, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
