Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Houser!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adam Hinkley!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Chris Downing and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hinkley feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Houser's calf.
Houser looks to clinch
and Hinkley counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Houser throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hinkley.
Hinkley circles away from the clinch attempt.
Houser tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Houser misses with a wild combination.
Hinkley moves in looking to clinch but Houser pushes him off.
Hinkley throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.

Hinkley shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Houser wants to sweep but no luck.
Hinkley connects with a couple of short punches.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hinkley wants to get up but he can't break Houser's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Hinkley slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hinkley wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Houser, who protects the arm well.

Houser is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
Houser is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hinkley off and has taken his back!
Hinkley is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Houser slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Hinkley staying busy and making it hard for Houser to control.

Hinkley is trying to stand back up.
Houser tries to get the hooks in deep but Hinkley pushed the leg off.
Houser is not going to allow Hinkley to sit and survive in this position.

Houser tries to keep control of the position but Hinkley is staying busy.
Hinkley holding both Houser 's hands and preventing any damage.
Hinkley really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Houser. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Houser just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Houser throws a body kick that digs right into the meat.
Houser closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hinkley circles away.
Houser shoots in looking for a takedown but Hinkley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Houser's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Houser tries to clinch but Hinkley moves out of range.
Hinkley shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Houser pinned against the cage. Houser gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Houser fails with a takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jeremy Houser. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hinkley throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Houser tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Hinkley is in Houser's guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Hinkley tries to stand but Houser is controlling from the bottom.
Houser looking for a sweep. Not yet Houser, not yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Hinkley drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Houser is looking to reverse the position.
Houser throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Hinkley working away.
Houser is trying to escape the position but Hinkley is controlling the position.
Hinkley wants to take a breather but Houser manages to regain guard - a lesson learnt for Hinkley.
Adam Hinkley has got the better of the ground game so far.
Houser controls Hinkley momentarily but Hinkley frees himself.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Let's hope that Hinkley has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Adam Hinkley.
Hinkley shoots in for a double leg but Houser sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Houser fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Hinkley tries to clinch up but Houser circles away and keeps his distance.
Hinkley slaps away a takedown attempt from Houser, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Hinkley is looking to chop away at Houser's legs.
Nice takedown defense from Houser. No joy for Hinkley on that attempt.

Hinkley pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Houser shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Hinkley is breathing heavily.
Houser wants to control from the top but Hinkley keeps moving.
Houser advances position into side control!
Hinkley wants to control but Houser postures up.
Houser wants to control but Hinkley is keeping him busy.

Houser decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Houser thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Hinkley if he has to take too many more of those.
Houser closes the distance and clinches up with Hinkley, looking for a takedown. Houser pushes Hinkley against the cage but Hinkley circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Houser walks into a stiff left hand from Hinkley.
Houser has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Houser looks for a takedown but Hinkley sprawls well.

Hinkley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Houser looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Houser wants to get back to full guard but Hinkley has mounted him!
Houser tries to hold on but Hinkley pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Adam Hinkley will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Houser is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
Houser stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Hinkley is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Houser is defending well.

Hinkley takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Houser shoots for a takedown but Hinkley saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Hinkley tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Hinkley shoots in and drives through. Houser sprawls well.
Jeremy Houser has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Hinkley.

Hinkley dives in and grabs Houser's left leg, looking for a takedown. Houser pushes down on Hinkley's head and hops out.
Houser tries to clinch there but Hinkley circles away.
Hinkley defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Houser.

Houser forces Hinkley back against the cage and clinches.
Houser is trying to maintain a safe position but Hinkley gets an underhook and turns Houser into the cage.
Houser can't get the takedown.
Houser connects with a nasty looking knee right to Hinkley's face.
Houser manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.

Houser escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Houser stuffs the takedown attempt from Hinkley. Hinkley gets slowly back to his feet.
Hinkley is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Houser tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Houser turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
