Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Cole Tessier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Voit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Cole Tessier!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
10 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joey Voit!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Voit lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Voit thows a body shot but no joy.
Tessier shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Voit pinned against the cage. Voit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Voit slaps away a takedown attempt from Tessier, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Voit misses with a wild combination.
A combination from Voit does no damage.
Voit misses with a shot to the body
and Tessier cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Voit throws a body punch but Tessier moves out of range.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Voit is on top in guard.
Voit postures up in Tessier's guard and throws a big left but Tessier blocks it.

Voit postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Tessier bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Voit's guard.

Tessier thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Tessier stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Voit swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Voit controls Tessier momentarily but Tessier frees himself.
Voit thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage.
Voit looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tessier is one step ahead there.
Tessier keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Voit's head.
Voit wants to sweep here but Tessier controlling him for the moment.

Tessier's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Voit connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Tessier scrambles back to his feet.

Voit throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Tessier stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Voit is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tessier rather than just go for the knockout.

Tessier closes the distance and clinches up with Voit, looking for a takedown. Tessier pushes Voit against the cage but Voit circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Tessier drops back, looking for a kneebar! Voit looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Voit looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Voit!

Tessier has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
