The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pogi attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Portier tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Pogi manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

and Pogi counters with a nice double leg into side control. Portier won't be happy with that.
Pogi wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Portier, who protects the arm well.
Pogi tries to advance position but instead Portier slips a leg back in to half guard.

Linkin Portier spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
