Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jamond Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benson Sonnen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sonnen has chosen Thirty Seconds To Mars-This Is War as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes wants to clinch up but Sonnen keeps it at a distance.
Hughes moves in looking to clinch but Sonnen pushes him off.
Hughes cracks Sonnen with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Sonnen looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Hughes finish him?
It looks like Benson Sonnen has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hughes stuffs the takedown.
Sonnen looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Hughes!
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hughes tries to hold on but Sonnen postures up.
Sonnen should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Sonnen lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Hughes is squirming around, avoiding Sonnen's attempts to control the action.
Sonnen unloads with some shots from mount but Hughes bucks and avoids them well.
Hughes wants to hold on but Sonnen pushes him away.

Sonnen throwing strikes but Hughes uses the opportunity to regain half guard.

Hughes tries to kick Sonnen off but Sonnen keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Hughes won't allow Sonnen to pass to mount.

Sonnen is trying to control. Hughes wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hughes manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Hughes wants to get back to his feet but Sonnen is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Sonnen throws a punch but it's blocked by Hughes.
Hughes breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Sonnen closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hughes circles away.
Hughes blocks a head kick by Sonnen.

Hughes instigates a clinch.
Sonnen tries for a takedown but Hughes manages to get underhooks.
Jamond Hughes has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Benson Sonnen.
Hughes gets control of Sonnen's arms and successfully pulls guard. Hughes will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Sonnen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
Hughes pushes Sonnen off and gets back to his feet.
Sonnen looks for a takedown but Hughes sprawls well.
Hughes wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Hughes throws a low kick but Sonnen avoids it.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Hughes - that will leave a mark!
Hughes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Sonnen sprawling to the canvas! Sonnen rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Hughes finish him?!
Sonnen is rocked!
Jamond Hughes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Hughes has managed to clinch.
Sonnen is still on wobbly legs! Can Hughes finish him?
Hughes pulls guard successfully.
Hughes kicks Sonnen off and gets to his feet.
Hughes has taken the fight to the clinch.
Hughes looking to score a takedown. He gets a body lock and scores a very heavy trip takedown. That's knocked the wind out of Sonnen! Hughes lands strikes from the mount and the ref steps in to end the fight!
