Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Harper! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Freddy Kruger! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kruger tries to clinch but Harper is having none of it. Kruger is looking to clinch. Harper darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Kruger tries to roll over but Harper keeps him under control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Kruger looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Kruger wants to control but Harper is keeping busy and won't allow it. Kruger looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Harper content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harper seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Kruger for as long as he can get away with. Harper knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Kruger on the ground. Kruger trying to control from the bottom.
Kruger is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Kruger moves into full guard.
Kruger preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Kruger wants to sweep but no luck. Kruger lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Harper! Harper bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! Harper has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kruger can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Harper controls the pace. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kruger looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kruger looks gassed! Kruger wants to control but Harper passes easily into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Kruger is looking to control Harper's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kruger avoid being mounted? Harper content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Harper looking to pass the half guard. Not this time. Kruger wants to control but Harper passes into side.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kruger is letting Harper control him for a moment. Kruger is looking to regain half guard here but Harper keeps moving and retains side control. Harper decides to stand back up. Harper looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Harper is pressing down on Kruger's thigh, looking to free his foot. Kruger is holding on for now. Kruger is trying to control but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Danny Harper dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Harper landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Harper content to control rather than advance. Kruger wants to get back to full guard. Kruger is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Harper working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Kruger's thigh. Kruger counters though and makes it back to full guard. Kruger is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Harper postures up and lands some nice ground and pound. Harper controlling from the top position. Kruger looking to control.
Harper controls from within his opponent's guard. Harper avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Kruger is looking for a triangle here but Harper uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Harper in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kruger is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
