The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Souza is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Guidetti sees it coming and defends easily.
Guidetti keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Souza will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Souza is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Guidetti regains full guard. Nicely done.
Souza is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Guidetti is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Guidetti has escaped and now he's on top!
Guidetti postures up.
Guidetti wants to pass the guard but Souza is keeping the position.

Souza is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Guidetti frees his head nicely. Oh but Souza has switched to an armbar! Guidetti is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
