Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hugh Jontop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jia O Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). O Connor has chosen Parkway Drive - Feed them to the pigs as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Connor loads up on a big right hand but Jontop slips the punch.

Jontop tries to bum rush O Connor with a series of wild strikes but O Connor uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

O Connor cracks Jontop with an uppercut from hell and Jontop crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of O Connor's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

O Connor wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jontop keeps working.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
O Connor cracks Jontop with a big right hand but Jontop just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
O Connor is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Jontop is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

O Connor with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Jontop to score with a decent uppercut.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Hugh Jontop's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
