The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mitchell with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Shouse gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Mitchell counters with an inside leg kick.
Mitchell dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Shouse . That did some damage!
A nice inside leg kick there by Mitchell. That's going to slow Shouse down.

Shouse misses with a takedown attempt
and Shouse takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Shouse stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Mitchell.

Shouse steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Mitchell. That one must have hurt.
Mitchell lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shouse 's sensitive parts.

Mitchell fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Shouse looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Mitchell scores with a hook to the body. Shouse takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Mitchell connects with a solid leg kick.

Shouse doesn't manage to clinch there - Mitchell circles away.
Shouse takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mitchell connects with a crisp jab.
Mitchell throws a nice outside leg kick.

Billy Mitchell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Shouse shoots for a double leg takedown but Mitchell sprawls well. He's pushed Shouse 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Shouse shoots for a double leg takedown but Mitchell sprawls well. He's pushed Shouse 's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Shouse wants to land a leg kick but Mitchell is out of range.
Mitchell lands with a straight right. Shouse didn't see that one coming.

and Shouse takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
A solid leg kick lands there for Mitchell.
Mitchell lands a nice looking body kick.
Shouse 's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.

Mitchell lands a big head kick that sends Shouse tumbling to the mat! Mitchell takes a step backwards and waves Shouse back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Shouse takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Mitchell pounces like a tiger and cracks Shouse with a vicious hook! Shouse is down but not out! Mitchell follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
