Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spider Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 17 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jack Johnson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Spider Silva!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Paul Gruel and Micheangelo Fripello.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away
letting Johnson counter with a right hand.
No joy there for Johnson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Silva tries to clinch but Johnson moves away
and Johnson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Silva wants to clinch
and Johnson counters with a two punch combo.
Johnson scores with a hook.
Silva looks to clinch
and Johnson counters with a left and a right that stings Silva.

Johnson moves into the clinch.
Silva is working for takedown but Johnson is calmly controlling the position for now.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva wants to take the fight to the mat but Johnson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Johnson tries to score a body lock takedown but Silva shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Johnson blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Johnson gets a trip takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Johnson controlling the action here.
Johnson throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Johnson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Silva to stand up.
Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt
and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.


It looks like Spider Silva has been cut.

Johnson lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Johnson counters by clinching up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Johnson managing to block the knees to the body from Silva.
Johnson prevents the takedown attempt.
Jack Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spider Silva.

Johnson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.

and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Johnson forces Silva back against the cage and clinches.

Silva tries to land knees in the clinch but Johnson avoids the damage to the body.

Johnson jumps into guard, dragging Silva to the mat.

Johnson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Silva wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side
and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Johnson holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

Silva has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Johnson after a bit of a struggle.
Johnson managing to block the knees to the body from Silva.
Silva has Johnson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Johnson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Silva wants a takedown.

Johnson wants the takedown. Silva is fighting it off but Johnson persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Silva's guard against the cage.
Johnson is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



The fight moves into the clinch position.
Silva tries to pull guard but Johnson won't allow it.

Johnson turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!

Johnson stands up and we're back to a striking position.
Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Johnson counters with a one-two to the body.


Silva is rocked!
Johnson looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jack Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Johnson throws a series of punches but Silva avoids them all with ease.
Silva closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side

and Johnson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Silva jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Johnson walks away with a smile on his face. Silva gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Johnson cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Silva closes the distance looking to clinch

and Johnson counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Johnson.
Silva fails to pull guard.
Jack Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spider Silva.

Johnson has hold of one of Silva's legs. Silva is fighting the takedown attempt but Johnson gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Johnson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Johnson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Silva closes the distance but Johnson moves to the side
and Johnson counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Silva wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side
and Johnson counters with a two punch combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.

and Silva takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Johnson connects with a right hand. Silva shakes it off.
Johnson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Johnson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Silva gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Johnson.
Johnson misses with a two punch combination.
Johnson tests Silva's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Silva has a pretty nasty looking mouse under his right eye.
Jab, jab by Johnson - just one landing.
Silva is still on wobbly legs! Can Johnson finish him?

enabling Johnson to counter with a crisp jab.
Silva seems to have recovered his senses.

Silva moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away
and Johnson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Silva wants to clinch but Johnson slips to the side
and Johnson counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Johnson to acknowledge the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

and Johnson counters with a left and a right that stings Silva.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Johnson misses with a double jab.
Silva tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Johnson counters with a lovely straight right hand!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jack Johnson dominated that second round.
The cut man is working on Spider Silva's cut.
That's time! Johnson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:42 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Johnson!
Jack Johnson decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
