Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Hector Lombard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martin Prien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lombard comes to the cage accompanied by Mortal Kombat. The crowd seem to be enjoying Prien's choice of entrance music: Yellow Submarine. Hector Lombard has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Bruno Hogan and Donatello Bradman.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Prien changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Lombard tries to avoid it but Prien manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Lombard to the ground. Lombard escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Prien has his takedown stuffed
and Lombard counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Prien closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Lombard wants to improve his position but Prien is controlling well.
Lombard gets back to full guard.
Lombard is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Prien is controlling him.
Prien advances position into side control!
Lombard tries to bench press Prien off him but Prien keeps the position.
Lombard prevents Prien from moving into mount.
Prien fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Prien is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Lombard has escaped the position, nice work there.
Lombard avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Prien.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lombard tries to bench press Prien off him but Prien keeps the position.
Prien has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Prien is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Lombard is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Lombard trying his best to control but Prien has mounted him.

Lombard knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Prien on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lombard can't escape the position.
Prien working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Lombard turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Prien off and cradles Lombard's limp body as Prien celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Martin Prien!
Our winner, Martin Prien, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
