PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Arturo Maximillian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Livington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Maximillian might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Foster The People - Pumped Up Kicks . Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maximillian just misses with a punch to the body.
Maximillian thows a body shot but no joy.
Maximillian is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Livington, as that shot connected.

Maximillian drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Livington wants to control but Maximillian postures up.
Maximillian content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Livington tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Maximillian decides to stand up, so the ref orders Livington to his feet.

Livington scores with a hook to the body. Maximillian takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Livington is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Maximillian misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Livington counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Maximillian remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Livington jumps guard but Maximillian stands there with Livington around his waist. Livington gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Maximillian got a little sloppy there for a moment and Livington has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Maximillian has managed to get both his arms back between Livington's legs - danger averted.
Maximillian wants to get up but he can't break Livington's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
