Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 1, fighting out of London, Seb Bastion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Ben Backman!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Steven Brown and James Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bastion avoids the head kick by Backman.
Backman scores with a punch to the head.
Backman misses with a left hand
and Backman takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.


It looks like Ben Backman has been cut.
Backman slips under a jab from Bastion.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Bastion.
Backman lands a nice shot to the body.
Ben Backman seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Backman lands with a cross.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Backman rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bastion moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bastion tries to clinch up but Backman circles away and keeps his distance.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Backman gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Bastion.

Bastion breaks from the clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Backman dips to his left and cracks Bastion with an uppercut!
Bastion misses with a looping left.
Ben Backman is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Backman lands a nice hook to Bastion's body. Bastion takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Horrible takedown by Bastion or perhaps it was just good defense by Backman which made him look bad.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Seb Bastion. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Backman lands a nice shot to the body.
Bastion takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Backman lands the left hand.
Bastion throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Backman connects with a body shot.
Bastion is breathing heavily.
Backman lands with a good body shot.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ben Backman!
Ben Backman decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
