Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Tompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Spencer Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sean Tompson has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Sean Tompson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Spencer Fisher! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tompson tries to clinch there but Fisher circles away.
Tompson lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh. Tompson scoring well with a low kick there.
Tompson tries to keep at a distance but Fisher has taken the fight into the clinch. Fisher has hold of one of Tompson's legs. Tompson is fighting the takedown attempt but Fisher gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Tompson controls Fisher momentarily but Fisher frees himself. Tompson is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched. Fisher is trying to break the clinch but Tompson has him pressed against the cage. Fisher tries to break the clinch but Tompson is controlling the position. Tompson is trying to stall.
Fisher escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Fisher tries to clinch up but Tompson circles away and keeps his distance. Tompson tries to close the distance and clinch up but Fisher swats him away and circles back towards the center. Fisher throws a leg kick and Tompson counters with a shoot takedown. Fisher fights it but they end up in guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tompson decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fisher blocks the body kick.
Fisher fails to land with a series of punches.
Fisher with a poor takedown and Tompson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Tompson trying to stand up but can't free himself from Fisher's guard. Tompson controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Tompson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fisher is keeping the position for now. Tompson really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fisher looking for a sweep. Not yet Fisher, not yet. Fisher is looking to sweep but instead, Tompson has passed into half guard.
Tompson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Fisher knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Tompson prevents Fisher from standing back up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fisher is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Tompson jumps into side control! Tompson is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Fisher is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Fisher is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Tompson is controlling him well.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Tompson looks to clinch enabling Fisher to counter with a crisp jab. Fisher misses with a head kick.
Fisher fails with the takedown and Tompson counters with a straight right hand. Fisher fails with the takedown. Sean Tompson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Spencer Fisher. Fisher looks gassed! Fisher shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Fisher was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tompson regains half guard. Fisher postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Tompson to stand up. Tompson tries to clinch up but Fisher circles away and keeps his distance. Tompson rushes Fisher and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Fisher wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tompson has him pressed against the cage. Tompson fails to pull guard.

Tompson fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sean Tompson dominated that round. That's time! Tompson's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Fisher misses with a double jab.
Tompson tries to clinch up. Fisher fails with the takedown. Fisher looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Tompson looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Fisher is fending him off so far but Tompson persists. Nope, Fisher circles away and we're back to standing. Tompson shoots for a takedown but Fisher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tompson scores with a leg kick.
Tompson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Fisher sprawls well initially but Tompson persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Tompson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Fisher won't allow Tompson to pass to mount. Tompson is working hard here to advance position. Fisher is not content to let Tompson control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fisher is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tompson postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Fisher to stand up. Fisher has a takedown stuffed. Tompson fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Tompson. That's going to take a lot out of him. Fisher throws a lazy right hand but Tompson sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Tompson decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Tompson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Fisher's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Tompson wants to lay and pray for a moment but Fisher keeps working. Tompson wants to pass the guard but Fisher is defending well. Fisher wants to get back to his feet. Tompson wants to control but Fisher is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tompson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Tompson tries to clinch but Fisher is having none of it. Spencer Fisher seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. No joy there for Fisher, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A punch combination from Fisher misses. Fisher closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Tompson actively working from the bottom here. Fisher decides to stand and escape the position. Fisher fails with an attempt to clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tompson tries to close the distance and clinch but Fisher swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Fisher scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Fisher prevents Tompson from improving his position. Tompson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fisher is working away from the top position though. Fisher prevents Tompson from improving his position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Sean Tompson will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Fisher stuffs the takedown attempt from Tompson. Tompson gets slowly back to his feet. Fisher tries a head kick but it misses.
Tompson takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Tompson defending well as Fisher loads up on a big left hand. The fight stays on the outside here - Tompson looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fisher is looking to clinch. Tompson shoots for a takedown but Fisher saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Horrible takedown by Fisher or perhaps it was just good defense by Tompson which made him look bad. Tompson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Fisher shoots and misses and Tompson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Tompson stops Fisher from standing up. Fisher pushes Tompson off and scrambles back to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fisher has managed to clinch.
Fisher breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Tompson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Tompson fails with the takedown and Fisher counters with a stiff right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Tompson. That's going to take a lot out of him. No luck for Tompson with that takedown attempt. Fisher lands a two punch combo.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! No luck for Fisher with that takedown attempt. A combination from Fisher does no damage. Fisher displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. Tompson with a lazy takedown attempt letting Fisher counter with a right hand. Tompson feints and as Fisher raises his hands in defense, Tompson changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Tompson advances position into side control!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tompson controls the position. Fisher is pushing Tompson's head away, looking to escape. Tompson manages to hold on to the position though. Fisher sneaks back into half guard. Fisher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Tompson wants to free his trapped foot but Fisher is holding on for dear life with his legs. Fisher wants to get back to full guard. Tompson is looking to advance position but Fisher won't allow it. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Fisher drives through with a takedown into guard. Tompson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Sean Tompson. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Tompson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent.
