The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A left lands for Vanhorn.
It looks like George Gracie has been cut.
Vanhorn drops Gracie with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gracie looks back up at him and smiles so Vanhorn waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Gracie is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vanhorn misses with an attempted mid kick.
Gracie is still on wobbly legs! Can Vanhorn finish him?
Gracie shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Vanhorn but Vanhorn pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Vanhorn misses with a head kick.
Gracie glances at the clock... BAM! Vanhorn nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Gracie crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Gracie is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Max Vanhorn!
