The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cry circles away from the clinch attempt.
A big right from Cry misses.
Cry fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Ferreira avoids it really well and circles away.
Cry shoots in but Ferreira avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Ferreira defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Cry.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Vergil Cry. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Ferreira tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Cry manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Cry fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Cry wants to control from the top but Ferreira keeps moving.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ferreira lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Cry!

Cry tries to lock up and control but Ferreira gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Cry is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Cry shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Cry takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
The fight stays on the outside here - Ferreira looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Ferreira lands a brutal head kick. Cry looks out on his feet and Ferreira throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
