Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Mayer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Benedikt Pushkar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mayer comes to the cage accompanied by I´m shipping out to Boston - Dropkick Murphys. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mayer gets tackled into the cage by Pushkar. Pushkar maintains the clinch.
Mayer tries to work over Pushkar's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

Pushkar goes for a takedown attempt but Mayer pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Mayer feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Pushkar sprawling to the canvas! Pushkar rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mayer finish him?!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Mayer is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Pushkar can do to turn this around?
Mayer cracks Pushkar with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Mayer has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pushkar to stand back up!
