Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Paul Harvey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lawrence King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). King has chosen Ennio Morricone - Once Upon a Time in the West as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 21 - 12 - 2, fighting out of London, Paul Harvey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Lawrence King!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Roger Salmon.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harvey steps to the side to avoid the strikes from King.
King checks a leg kick.
Harvey swings away with a leg kick that misses.
King tries to score a power double leg takedown but Harvey sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten King somewhat.
Jab by King.
Paul Harvey seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
King has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Harvey.
Harvey lands a straight punch to the body, keeping King at a distance.
Harvey tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Harvey misses with a leg kick.
King throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Harvey's waist but Harvey gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing King off to one side.
Harvey lands with a straight right. King didn't see that one coming.
Harvey displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as King throws out the jab.
Nice defenses there by Harvey.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Harvey connects with a crisp jab.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A nice inside leg kick there by Harvey. That's going to slow King down.
Paul Harvey is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Harvey throws a sloppy head kick and King moves out of range easily.
Harvey takes a swing at King's ribcage but misses.
King moves out of range as Harvey strikes.
Harvey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
King keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Harvey.
Harvey throws a leg kick but King sees it coming and moves out of range.
Harvey listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Harvey misses with a two punch combination.
King thows a left - swing and a miss!
King misses with a hook. Harvey ducked under it nicely.
King has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Harvey enables King to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Harvey manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Harvey bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in King's guard.
King tries to land a sweep but no joy.

King is working an open guard so Harvey takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Harvey lands with a thumping leg kick.
Harvey attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Harvey misses with a leg kick.
King jabbing away but nothing is landing.
King misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Harvey.
King misses with an uppercut.
Harvey has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Harvey there as he acknowledges the shot.
King throws a series of punches but Harvey avoids them all with ease.
King tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Harvey was well out of range. Poor timing from King.
King lunges at Harvey with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Harvey's hand.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
King keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Harvey.

Harvey rushes King and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
King doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
King misses with a short punch on the inside.
Harvey is trying to break free.
King looking for a takedown.
Paul Harvey has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lawrence King.

King manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

King has his foot on Harvey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Harvey works his way back into a safe position though.

King is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Harvey defends well.
Harvey has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Harvey is stalling in the full guard.

King working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Harvey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Harvey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
King wants to sweep but no luck.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Harvey avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
King keeping moving, preventing Harvey from controlling successfully.

King looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Harvey is defending well. King quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Harvey has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! King celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Lawrence King!
A very excited looking Lawrence King made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
