Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bash Basher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jake Landry (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bash Basher has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bash Basher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Jake Landry! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Colin Fray and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Landry takes the fight into the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Basher. Basher breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Landry throws out a loose jab but Basher uses good head movement to avoid it. Landry darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Basher is looking to escape. Basher is trying to get back to full guard. Basher is working hard here to advance position. Basher missing with punches from the bottom.
Basher taking some punishment here, with Landry in his half guard. Basher is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Landry tries to stand but can't do so whilst Basher controls his leg. Landry thows a huge punch but Basher dodges it nicely.
Landry has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Landry tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Landry working for a submission but Basher is keeping him at bay. Basher is working to get back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Landry working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet. A nice elbow there by Landry. Landry tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Landry wants to finish this one by submission but Basher is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Landry. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Landry has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Basher's face.
Basher wants to hold on but Landry pushes him away. Basher is bucking up trying to escape but Landry cracks him with another couple of good strikes. The referee warns Basher that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A nice elbow there by Landry. Landry with the ground and pound from mount. Basher is wriggling around trying to escape.
Basher wants to control but Landry is having none of it. Basher in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head. Landry looking to control but Basher is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Basher wants to hold on but Landry pushes him away. Landry sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Landry raining down hammerfists from mount. Landry trying to control but he's not successful this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Landry lands a big elbow. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Basher tries to lock up and control but Landry gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Basher wants to try and get back to his feet. Basher is breathing heavily. Basher manages to regain half guard. Good work. Landry working over Basher with some ground and pound. Basher looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Basher is refusing to be controlled, as Landry sits in half guard. Basher pushes Landry off looking to stand but Landry dives back in and keeps control.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Landry working the head and body with strikes. Landry working over Basher with some ground and pound. Basher looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Landry is looking to advance position but Basher won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jake Landry dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Basher tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Landry tries to close the distance and clinch up but Basher swats him away and circles back towards the center. Basher moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Landry closes the distance and pushes Basher back into the cage. Basher breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Basher is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Landry is keeping busy. Basher gets control of Landry's arms and successfully pulls guard. Basher will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Basher working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Landry. Landry slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Landry in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Basher wants to get back to his feet but Landry passes into half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Landry scoring with strikes to the body and head. Landry is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Basher is just riding it out for now. Landry eventually gives up the hold. Basher is refusing to be controlled, as Landry sits in half guard.

Landry shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Basher eats them both and turns towards Landry to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. Landry tries to close the distance and clinch but Basher swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Landry tries to clinch up and Landry takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Landry has managed to clinch.
Landry keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Basher's efforts to push away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Landry fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Landry blocks an uppercut.

Landry is in close to Basher's body, working some short punches and elbows. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Jake Landry showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. That's time! Basher's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Basher. A jab from Landry misses. Landry fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Basher has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Landry swats away the attempt to clinch by Basher. Basher closes the distance but Landry moves to the side and Landry counters with a left and a right that stings Basher. Landry misses with a few strikes there.

A short right from Basher. Basher pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Basher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Landry paws at him with a jab and circles away. Landry drives through with a takedown into guard. Landry lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Landry takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Basher lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Landry! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Landry slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Landry tries to get to full guard but Basher has control of the leg. Landry wants to control but Basher is keeping busy and won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Basher wants to stand up but Landry manages to regain full guard. Basher trying to control the position from guard on top but Landry is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Basher throws a strike but Landry rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Jake Landry has got the better of the ground game so far. Basher looking to control.
Landry wants to control from the top but Basher keeps moving. Basher looking to hit a scissor sweep but Landry is one step ahead there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Landry wants to pass the guard but Basher is keeping the position. Landry slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Basher shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Landry sprawls well. Landry wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Basher gets slowly back to his feet. Landry tries to clinch but Basher is having none of it. Landry misses with a straight left.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Landry throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Basher was covering up waiting for the punch and Landry finishes the takedown easily into guard. Landry stays in close to Basher's body and controls the position. Jake Landry is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Landry's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Bash Basher has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Landry passes Basher's right leg, so he's now in half guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Landry controlling the action here. Landry trying to mount his opponent but Basher defends it.
And that's the end of the fight! Jake Landry comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Landry winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
