Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bob Probert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ignat Kaigorodov!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Illya Tyunina and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Probert throws a leg kick but Kaigorodov sees it coming and moves out of range.
Kaigorodov gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Probert cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Probert fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Kaigorodov on the side of the head.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Probert, as that shot connected.
It looks like Ignat Kaigorodov has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kaigorodov with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Probert to score with a decent uppercut.
Probert sends Kaigorodov crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Probert is motioning to the referee to let Kaigorodov up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
Kaigorodov is rocked!
Probert slaps away a takedown attempt from Kaigorodov, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kaigorodov is still on wobbly legs! Can Probert finish him?
Probert throws a pinpoint strike between Kaigorodov's hands that connects right on the jaw and sends Kaigorodov crashing to the floor! He's out before he even hits the mat and Probert scores a great knockout victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Bob Probert!
