Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marco Materazzi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Heidan Warren (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Heidan Warren enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Materazzi misses with the combination.
Materazzi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Heidan Warren seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Warren shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Materazzi as he avoids it easily.
Materazzi uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Warren.
Materazzi throws a right and a left that both miss.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Warren.
Warren fails with the takedown.
Marco Materazzi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Heidan Warren.
A combination from Materazzi does no damage.
Warren misses with a takedown attempt
and Materazzi counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Warren looks for a takedown but Materazzi sprawls well.
Warren looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Materazzi leaves Warren with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Warren shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Materazzi pinned against the cage. Materazzi gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Warren shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Materazzi as he jumps to the side.

Warren tries to bum rush Materazzi with a series of wild strikes but Materazzi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Warren misses with a double jab.

Warren gets the takedown into side control.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Materazzi explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Warren tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Materazzi was well out of range. Poor timing from Warren.
Materazzi scores with a leg kick.
Materazzi cracks the inside of Warren's front leg.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Materazzi fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Warren.
Warren throws a lazy uppercut
letting Materazzi counter with a right hand.

Warren scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Warren misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Warren is trying to get an arm triangle but Materazzi is defending well.
Materazzi is not content to let Warren control the position.

Warren tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Warren has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Warren tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Materazzi wants to get back to his feet but Warren drags him back down.
Materazzi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Warren on the ground.

Warren is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Materazzi knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Warren is trying to get an arm triangle but Materazzi is defending well.
Materazzi is letting Warren control him for a moment.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Warren shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Warren was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Warren goes for an armbar but Materazzi turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Materazzi.

Materazzi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Warren has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Materazzi has managed to get both his arms back between Warren's legs - danger averted.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Warren looking for a guillotine here but Materazzi defends easily.

Warren looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Warren is looking for a triangle but Materazzi pushes his legs off easily.

Warren is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Materazzi rolls with it to try and escape but Warren cranks on the arm and Materazzi is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
