Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Michael Bernstein!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Double Burger!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bernstein misses with a combination
and Burger counters with a leg kick then a big left hand that sends Bernstein down! Burger is looking to finish but Bernstein is intelligently defending himself.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Burger thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Bernstein wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Burger is now in half guard.
Bernstein is trying to control but Burger passes into side control!
Burger is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bernstein knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Burger looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Bernstein tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Burger wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Burger has an Americana. Bernstein didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Burger is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Burger hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Double Burger!
