Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mariusz Groszek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Phil Mcracken (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcracken has chosen 10cc - Dreadlock Holiday as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Phil Mcracken! The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Kenichi Hosakawa and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Groszek fails to land with a series of punches.

and Mcracken counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Mcracken is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Groszek is just riding it out for now. Mcracken eventually gives up the hold. Mcracken seems to be working for a kimura but Groszek defends the submission attempt. Groszek might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Mcracken is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Groszek defends it well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Groszek lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Mcracken circles away quickly and effectively. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

It looks like Mariusz Groszek has been cut. Mcracken has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Mcracken cracks Groszek with an elbow. That is naaassty. Oh Groszek is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Mcracken has hold of Groszek's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Groszek seems comfortable defending it but Mcracken has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Groszek is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Groszek is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Mcracken couldn't care less - he's delighted!
