PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mark Joegensen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Estebal Uspano (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Estebal Uspano was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mark Joegensen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Estebal Uspano!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Joegensen stuffs the takedown.

Uspano shoots for a double leg takedown but Joegensen sprawls well. He's pushed Uspano's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Uspano decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Uspano shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Joegensen sprawls well. Joegensen wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Uspano gets slowly back to his feet.

and Joegensen counters with a big head kick but Uspano shrugs it off.
Joegensen tries to bum rush Uspano with a series of wild strikes but Uspano uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Joegensen will probably get the nod.

Uspano has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Joegensen uses from the top position.

Uspano manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Estebal Uspano comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Uspano has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
