Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mibon Rapthlaka (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicanor Reyes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nicanor Reyes will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Mibon Rapthlaka! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nicanor Reyes! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Dillan Fox and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Reyes misses with a head kick.
Reyes fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Reyes shoots in for a takedown but Rapthlaka shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Rapthlaka throws the left hand but Reyes avoids the punch easily. Reyes shoots and misses and Rapthlaka counters by clinching up. Mibon Rapthlaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicanor Reyes. Reyes fails to pull guard.
Reyes is working for takedown but Rapthlaka is calmly controlling the position for now. Rapthlaka with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Rapthlaka's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Rapthlaka missing with a left hand there. Reyes was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one. Nice defenses there by Reyes. Rapthlaka scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Rapthlaka stands up and we're back to a striking position. This has been an exciting period of action! Rapthlaka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Reyes manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Rapthlaka rushes Reyes and presses him up against the cage.

Reyes tries for a takedown but Rapthlaka sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Rapthlaka bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Reyes's head backwards. Reyes tries a head kick but it misses.
Rapthlaka thows a left - swing and a miss! Reyes has managed to clinch.

Reyes has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Rapthlaka uses from the top position. Rapthlaka is looking to stand up but Reyes won't let him. Reyes is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Rapthlaka wants to control from the top but Reyes keeps moving.

Reyes being controlled here, momentarily. Rapthlaka postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Reyes is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Rapthlaka, into his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rapthlaka tries to strike from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Reyes trying to control but Rapthlaka is working from the bottom. Rapthlaka is looking for a triangle but Reyes pushes his legs off easily.
Reyes drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Reyes jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Rapthlaka seems keen to control Reyes's posture. Reyes preventing the sweep.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Rapthlaka working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Reyes. Reyes makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Rapthlaka is breathing heavily. Reyes trying to control the position from guard on top but Rapthlaka is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Reyes pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Rapthlaka is keeping the position for now. Reyes trying to control but Rapthlaka is working from the bottom. Reyes has gone for a leg lock! Rapthlaka slips out almost immediately though and dives into Reyes's guard. Reyes has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Rapthlaka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Mibon Rapthlaka will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Reyes shoots in looking for a takedown. Rapthlaka tries to sprawl out of it but Reyes keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Rapthlaka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Reyes fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rapthlaka avoids it really well and circles away. Nice body punch from Rapthlaka. Rapthlaka keeps the fight on the outside. Reyes tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Reyes tries to close the distance and clinch but Rapthlaka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Rapthlaka throws a right hand that misses
and Reyes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Rapthlaka moves into the clinch successfully.
Rapthlaka escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Reyes misses with a takedown attempt - Rapthlaka sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Mibon Rapthlaka has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Nicanor Reyes.

Reyes shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Rapthlaka trying to control from the bottom.

Rapthlaka is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Reyes defends well. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Rapthlaka looking for a sweep. Not yet Rapthlaka, not yet.

Reyes gets control of Rapthlaka's arms and successfully pulls guard. Reyes will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Rapthlaka sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Reyes's guard. Reyes looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Reyes is trying to control but can't.
Reyes is pressing down on Rapthlaka's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it. Rapthlaka slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Rapthlaka looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Reyes is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Reyes looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Nicanor Reyes showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Mibon Rapthlaka is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A big right from Rapthlaka misses. Rapthlaka misses with a right hand and Reyes counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Rapthlaka thinking. Reyes misses with an attempted mid kick.

That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rapthlaka is defended easily by Reyes. Reyes changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rapthlaka tries to avoid it but Reyes manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rapthlaka to the ground. Rapthlaka escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Reyes takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Rapthlaka circles away from the clinch attempt.
Rapthlaka darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Rapthlaka missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Rapthlaka is actively looking for submissions here but good counter grappling here from Reyes as he works his way to full guard.
Rapthlaka drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Reyes manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Rapthlaka has Reyes in his guard.

Reyes is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Reyes has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Rapthlaka is proving hard to escape from. Reyes wants to control from the top but Rapthlaka keeps moving. The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Nicanor Reyes. Reyes lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook. Mibon Rapthlaka seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Reyes ducks under a wild hook from Rapthlaka. Reyes tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rapthlaka paws at him with a jab and circles away. Rapthlaka decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Reyes has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Rapthlaka is working away from the top position though. Rapthlaka is working for a submission of some sort.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rapthlaka is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Nicanor Reyes. I think Reyes has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
