The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lao closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Morris to the mat! Morris manages to get full guard.

Morris working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Lao has passed into half guard!
Lao could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Morris is trying to stand back up but Lao is controlling him
Morris trying to control but Lao postures up.
Morris gets back to full guard.
Morris not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Morris wants to stand and escape but Lao is having none of it.
Morris is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Lao works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Lao stops Morris from getting back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Morris won't allow Lao to pass to mount.
Morris is looking for a sweep. Lao is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Morris shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Lao has his takedown stuffed

and Morris counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Lao is pressing down on Morris's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Morris content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Morris throwing strikes but missing.

Morris lying in Lao's guard like a wet fish here, stalling away. Lao decides he's had enough of all that nonsense - he escapes his hips and locks up an armbar! Wow, that was slick! Morris taps! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!
