Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Lucius Pappas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gotti Bin Laden (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bin Laden has chosen Kurupt - I Didn't Change as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Lucius Pappas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Gotti Bin Laden! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Matheus Silva and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bin Laden displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Pappas throws out the jab. Pappas tries to clinch there but Bin Laden circles away.

Bin Laden fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Bin Laden throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A big right from Pappas misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bin Laden misses with a low kick. Bin Laden thows a body shot but no joy. Pappas wants to clinch. A looping hook to the body misses from Bin Laden. Pappas does a little dance to reset his feet. Pappas moves into the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pappas lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Pappas seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Bin Laden looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Pappas is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Bin Laden keeping moving, preventing Pappas from controlling successfully. Bin Laden has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pappas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Bin Laden wants to control the position but Pappas says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Pappas wants to control but Bin Laden is keeping him busy. Pappas is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Bin Laden is just riding it out for now. Pappas eventually gives up the hold. Bin Laden is trying to control but can't.

Pappas knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Bin Laden on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pappas tries to pass the half guard into mount. Bin Laden knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Pappas is looking to take a break and control but Bin Laden is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Bin Laden is looking to improve his position.
Pappas wants to advance to full mount but Bin Laden doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Bin Laden is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Bin Laden has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Pappas can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Pappas trying to control but Bin Laden is working from the bottom. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Lucius Pappas will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

That's one minute gone in the round. Bin Laden shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pappas is trying to control but can't.
Bin Laden passes to side control. Pappas is looking to regain half guard here but Bin Laden keeps moving and retains side control. Bin Laden is looking to take a break and control but Pappas is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Pappas tries to get back to half guard but can't. Pappas is trying to control Bin Laden's posture but Bin Laden avoids it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pappas is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Bin Laden wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Pappas, who protects the arm well. Bin Laden working away. Pappas is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Pappas actively working from the bottom here. Bin Laden is trying for a kimura here. Pappas looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Bin Laden wins by kimura!
