Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Hardy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jaaahn Jonees (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardy's entrance music is Red Rider - Lunatic Fringe . A fine choice. Hardy has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jonees avoids a punch combination nicely.
Hardy swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Jonees dodges the punch combination from Hardy.
Hardy is breathing heavily.

Jonees shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Jonees seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Jonees's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Jonees cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Hardy is bucking up trying to escape but Jonees cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Jonees throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Hardy's waist but Hardy gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Jonees off to one side.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hardy enables Jonees to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hardy manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Let's hope that Jonees has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Jonees fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hardy sprawls well initially but Jonees persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jaaahn Jonees showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Hardy looks to land a combination but Jonees avoids it well.
Hardy throws a right hand that Jonees ducks under and follows up with a left that Jonees also avoids with ease.
Jonees changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Hardy tries to avoid it but Jonees manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Hardy to the ground. Hardy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jonees drives through with a takedown into Hardy's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Hardy can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Jonees controls the pace.
Jonees sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hardy's guard.

Jonees shoots in looking for a takedown. Hardy tries to sprawl out of it but Jonees keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hardy manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
