The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Richard Clark.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Starikov tries for a takedown but Bruneau sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Starikov fails with an attempt to clinch.
Starikov tries to close the distance and clinch but Bruneau swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Starikov shoots and misses
and Bruneau counters with a single leg into guard. Starikov didn't expect that.

Starikov wants to hold on but Bruneau pushes him away.
BOOM! Bruneau connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Bruneau pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Bruneau lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.

Bruneau loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Starikov scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Bruneau land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Bruneau stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Maurice Bruneau!
