And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Leandro Rodrigues and Mauricio Rocha.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick lands there from Yamazaki.
Diaz shoots in looking for a takedown. Yamazaki tries to sprawl out of it but Diaz keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Yamazaki manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Yamazaki scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Diaz is breathing heavily.
Yamazaki displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Diaz.
Diaz shoots in but Yamazaki avoids the takedown attempt easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Martin Diaz. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Yamazaki cracks Diaz with a good jab.

Yamazaki lands a big head kick that sends Diaz tumbling to the mat! Yamazaki takes a step backwards and waves Diaz back to his feet - he wants the finish!
This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Diaz. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Diaz walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.

Yamazaki throws a nasty head kick that just misses. He throws another kick to the head of his opponent and almost takes it off! Diaz crumples to the floor and the fight is over!

In his post fight interview, Yuri Yamazaki started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
