Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Baptista Reis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Oleg Oliveira!
The judges for this bout are Paulo Santos, Emerson Jorge and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reis avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Oliveira tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Reis counters with a left to the body.
Oliveira is looking to clinch.
Oliveira tries to close the distance and clinch but Reis swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Baptista Reis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Reis misses with a few strikes there.
No luck for Oliveira with that takedown attempt.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Reis, as that shot connected.
A punch combination from Reis misses.
Horrible takedown by Oliveira or perhaps it was just good defense by Reis which made him look bad.
Oliveira throws a series of punches but Reis moves out of range.
Reis throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reis misses with a few strikes there.
Some wild striking there from Reis.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Oliveira looks gassed!
Reis throws a right hand that Oliveira ducks under and follows up with a left that Oliveira also avoids with ease.
The fighters circle momentarily. Reis darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Reis drops Oliveira with a beautiful combination! Oliveira stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Reis is looking for the KO!
Oliveira is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Reis lands a jab and follows it up with a massive straight that knocks Oliveira out cold! Oliveira is crumpled in the corner, his head only propped up by the cage! That's one for the organiziational promos right there! Wow, what a finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Baptista Reis!
Baptista Reis decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
