And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Aleksandr Martynov and Illya Tyunina.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Baltabekov scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Rua defending against the ground and pound.
Baltabekov stands up and beckons Rua to his feet.
Rua gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Baltabekov to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Baltabekov postures up.
Baltabekov slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rua looking to control but Baltabekov passes into half guard.

Still in half guard, Baltabekov seems content to control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rua tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Baltabekov manages to move to mount!
Baltabekov controlling the pace for now.
Rua tries to reverse the position but Baltabekov maintains control.
Baltabekov tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Baltabekov is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Rua is surviving well by controlling Baltabekov's body position as best he can.

Baltabekov breaks from Rua's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Baltabekov lands with some strikes.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Baltabekov controlling the pace for now.
Baltabekov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Rua looks a forlorn figure.

Baltabekov jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Rua manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Baltabekov cracks Rua with a big elbow.
Baltabekov advances to full mount.
Baltabekov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Baltabekov prevents Rua from getting the reversal.

Rua tries to reverse the position but Baltabekov maintains control.
Rua is breathing heavily.
Baltabekov lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Rua hang on?
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
BOOM! Baltabekov connects with a massive shot to the dome!

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Baltabekov has closed the distance and engaged Rua in a clinch.
Baltabekov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Rua leaves Baltabekov with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Rua throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Baltabekov's waist but Baltabekov gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Rua off to one side.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Rua is defended easily by Baltabekov.

Baltabekov tries to advance to mount but Rua instead regains half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Baltabekov passes the guard and advances to mount!

Baltabekov wants to control the pace but Rua is squirming around nicely.
Baltabekov lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Rua is trying to escape the mount.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Baltabekov. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Rua wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Baltabekov has the hooks in. Rua is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Baltabekov is punishing Rua with some ground and pound.
Baltabekov looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Rua taps!
