Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Alan Duffy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Noah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Noah looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Alan Duffy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 10 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Joe Noah!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Noah tries to score a power double leg takedown but Duffy sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Noah somewhat.

Duffy moves into the clinch successfully.
Noah takes a knee to the side of the body.
Noah tries to pull guard but Duffy won't allow it.

Duffy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Duffy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Duffy wants it to stay on the feet.
Alan Duffy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joe Noah.
Noah looks gassed!
Noah fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Duffy feints a jab promting Noah to slip. Duffy then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Noah slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Duffy is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Noah's half guard.
Duffy perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Duffy is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Noah doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Duffy.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Alan Duffy just wasn't active enough.

Duffy moves into range and clinches up with Noah.

and Duffy counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Noah drops back, looking for a kneebar! Duffy looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Duffy looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Duffy!
Duffy happy to just control the position for now.
Noah tries to improve position but can't.

Noah is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Noah is trying to work for a sweep but Duffy has mounted him!

Noah bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Noah postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Duffy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Noah, into his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Duffy seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Duffy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Noah tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Duffy is in Noah's guard.

and Duffy counters with a series of strikes. Noah will be more careful next time no doubt.

Noah is breathing heavily.

Noah throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Duffy escapes and throws Noah's legs to the side, diving into side control!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.

Noah tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Duffy wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Duffy is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Noah is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Noah is looking for a sweep.
Duffy could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Duffy decides to stand up, so the ref orders Noah to his feet.

Duffy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Noah drops back looking for a leg! Duffy is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Duffy manages to kick Noah off! Noah jumps back into Duffy's guard.

Noah thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Noah is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Noah postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Duffy is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Noah, into his guard.

Noah escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Duffy gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Noah is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Duffy defends well.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Duffy is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Noah looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Duffy has picked Noah up and slammed him! Noah can't keep hold of the triangle and Duffy manages to pass to side control!

Duffy is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Noah knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Noah takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Noah tries to improve position but can't.

Noah is looking to reverse the position.

Duffy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Noah manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Noah is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Duffy is pressing down on Noah's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Noah got a little sloppy there for a moment and Duffy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Noah has managed to get both his arms back between Duffy's legs - danger averted.
Duffy wants to sweep but no luck.
Noah is pushing down on Duffy's leg trying to pass to half guard. Duffy is fighting to maintain full guard but Noah has managed to sneak the leg through.

I would just about give that final round to Joe Noah.
Well Duffy has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
