Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jeremy Mack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Ichi Kakihara!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mack scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Kakihara showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mack.

Mack misses with a wild combination.
Kakihara tries to close the distance and clinch up but Mack swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Mack fails to land with a series of punches.
Kakihara tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Mack manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Mack is pressed up against the cage. Kakihara has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Mack down to the mat. Mack avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Kakihara throws a hook but Mack avoids it easily.
Mack stalks Kakihara and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kakihara's face. Kakihara staggers backwards, shaken.
Mack listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Kakihara tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mack sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Kakihara somewhat.
Jeremy Mack has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ichi Kakihara.

Mack is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Mack tries to bum rush Kakihara with a series of wild strikes but Kakihara uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Kakihara shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.
Kakihara shoots in looking for a takedown but Mack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Kakihara's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Mack throws a right and a left that both miss.

Kakihara shoots in looking for a takedown. Mack tries to sprawl out of it but Kakihara keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mack manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Mack throws a right and a left that Kakihara avoids nicely.

Jeremy Mack seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kakihara shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Mack connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Kakihara is trying desperately to land a takedown but Mack is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Kakihara.

Mack will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mack throws a right hand that Kakihara ducks under and follows up with a left that Kakihara also avoids with ease.
Mack blocks a leg kick.
Kakihara is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Mack.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

and Kakihara counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mack's guard now.

Mack lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Kakihara!

Mack forces the positional change into back control.
Mack just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.

Mack has his arm under Kakihara's chin here. Game over son! Mack squeezes tightly and Kakihara is forced to tap out!
